Owen Fitzgerald – Winnie The WAC

3 Apr

Now that April Fool’s is over we can forget that abominable Droopy cartoon. How about I make it up to everyone with this great 1953 Winnie The WAC story by Owen Fitzgerald from Here’s Howie #9.

Hi, Kevin. Yesterday's joke was the funniest April Fool I've ever come across. I'm still laughing about it today! I hope you and all your family have a hugely enjoyable and wonderful Easter, with a cornucopia of super-colossal, scrumptious Technicolor Easter eggs for Liam and his siblings. Have a good one!

PS: I like your picture of Goofy, RooniMan!

Thanks Jan, have a great Easter too. I'm mostly in it for the chocolate.

Once again, Owen Fitzgerald is a genius. Enough said.

By the way, it's been a while since I last looked at your blog. I've been so busy with all this dumbass high school crap (hence why I barely post anything onto my crappy cartoon blog anymore), but recently, because of certain things that have happened in my life, I'm doing more cartoon studies than ever before, and I've progressed so far already with them. Just this morning, I copied some poses off this Little Audrey model sheet and even did my own version of the character afterwards.

So anyways, I just wanted to say that you've done such a great job with your blog, and I hope that you're doing well. It's good animation blogs like these that inspire me to keep trying with regards of drawing my own cartoons, and to keep pursuing my dreams of becoming a great animator.

    thanks for posting these.
Man I need to see more Fitzgerald stuff! I've only seen a couple of things posted here and there and it all leaves me wanting to see lots more. I wish more of it was affordable and in print.
